Community supports Wirksworth Swimming Pool’s fundraising efforts for improved facilities
Wirksworth Running Club and Wirksworth Open Gardens have added their support to Wirksworth Swimming Pool’s fundraising efforts with donations of £400 and £500 respectively.
Both organisations presented the pool with cheques in October in support of plans to extend the pool building to provide improved changing facilities, office space and a café area.
Pool Manager, Glyn Booth, comments: “We’re working really hard to raise the £275,000 needed to improve the facilities here at Wirksworth. We cannot thank the local community enough for their tireless efforts to make our plans a reality. We’ve a long way to go, but all the individual donations we are receiving soon start to accumulate and make a real difference.”
