Schools & Groups
At the Sheila Kirkland Community Pool, many school children, who haven’t had the opportunity to learn to swim as babies and toddlers will be introduced to swimming for the first time.
Our small pool and warm waters make swimming an inviting and pleasurable experience. We have helped hundreds of nervous and apprehensive children to not only meet the national curriculum required standard of 25 metres, but to achieve beyond it.
Our pool is a calm, warm and stimulating environment ideally suited for water-based exercise and enjoyment in group swimming lessons for those with sensory or muscular disabilities or those rehabilitating after injury or surgery.
Our recent extension has given the pool improved wheelchair access, whilst also providing accessible changing and shower facilities. Unfortunately we cannot offer a hoist facility at this time, but are committed to raising funds to further improve our facilities. Please contact us to discuss your requirements further.
